La Trinidad, located in the Sierra Gorda de Xilitla, SLP, at almost 2,000 meters above sea level, is a Nahuatl community surrounded by an ecosystem of coniferous and oak forest, with a temperate-cold climate and no electrical power. It offers mountainous landscapes, caves, springs and rich biodiversity in a natural mountainous and isolated environment.  Some of the birds that can be seen in this ecosystem are Golden Olive Woodpecker, Bat Falcon and Common Chlorospingus.
